#ENDSARS: Many Of Us Are Frustrated, We Needs Answers – Simi

Following various reports of Nigerians getting harassed by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on a daily basis, the campaign to #EndSars has started to trend on the Nigerian social media sphere again. One of the people lending a voice to the menace, is singer Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye simply known as Simi.

According to the songster, since the #ENDSARS conversation started, it’s become worse and it seems to get rather than reduce. The ‘Joromi’ singer wondered whether it was a ploy to shut Nigerians from seeking justice.
See what she wrote below via her Twitter handle;

Since the #ENDSARS conversation started, it’s become worse. That scares me. A lot. It’s kind of like racism abroad. The more people rage against it, the worse it sometimes seems to get. Are we supposed to shut up about injustice? What can be done? When? How? It’s terrifying!

And I’m tired of PR efforts that don’t achieve anything. We needs answers. We need reform. Our lives need to matter more. Every single Nigerian’s life. Not just those with connections and money. I’m frustrated. Many of us are.

I've once been arrested for driving around town in a Benz.. They searched through my phone but found nothing implicating like they've always been looking for but instead of releasing me to go they insisted we should go bring 100K before we can be released.#EndSars
